Happy 100th Day!!!!
On Monday, January 22nd we celebrated the 100th Day of School! The students were so excited and we spent the day celebrating in style! We created 100 Day ties, counted 100 chocolate chips, made a 100th Day snack, and created a self-portrait of what we think we will look like when we are 100 years old! Fun in Centers!
We have really been enjoying our language and math workshops this month! We are working on numbers, shapes, and measurement in math and continuing to build our reading skills with letter, letter sound, blending, and writing activities in language arts. Welcome Elijah and Nolan!
When we came back from Christmas, we had to say "good-bye" to three friends, Nicholas, Erin, and Grace. Though we were sad to see them go, we are so excited to welcome Elijah and Nolan!!!!
Day and Night
In Science, we are currently working on our "Day and Night" unit. We have discussed the characteristics of day and night (e.g. color of the sky, activities). We also had so many questions which led to experiments and research on the SmartBoard. Below are a few pictures resulting from the question: "Where does the sun go at night?" as well as a few of our classroom poster.
